I started to get bored of it. Then I downloaded a ton of fantastic mods. Now I'm happy again.

Having four or five dragons attack me keeps them challenging, and watching a group of seven dragons descend on a town is just epic.

Same with watching a giant chase around a Thalmor Wizard and then squish him (5,000 feet into the air) with his club. :3

2012-02-08 [Stephen]: Final Fantasy XIV is the MMO that's been out for about a year or so now. o3o'

I really, really dislike 12's combat system because of the gambits. They're too game breaking, and the game is almost impossible when you don't use them. I "fought" the final boss without touching my controller once. It was like watching a movie.

10-2 reminded me of an adventure through Barbie Princess's Dream Dress Up World in her intrepid search for Love and Prince Ken. >_>' 

11 was OK, but I'm not a huge MMO fan, so meh.

13 is probably one of my all time least favorite Final Fantasies -- they changed the music scores dramatically, removed almost all the signature Final Fantasy trademarks (inc Victory Fanfare, Crystal Theme and Holy) and added a class system that had extremely limited range in each class, and an annoying cut scene every single time you changed your job, which due to the very limited range (such as healers could only cast heal) was far too often. It completely shattered the flow of battle. Also, Snow is a self-righteous annoying idiot and Lightning is an anti-social twit. I'd say Hope is emo, but he watched his mother die in front of him so he has excuse to be, I suppose.

I use to know FFVII so well I could give someone directions on a location, to all the chests and how to get out, just by them vaguely describing where they were. On FFT(War of Lions), I've used the level/delevel trick to max out all my stats and collected every single possible item.. x)

The ending of the game made me so sad. I was like "QQ WAAH QQ". I loved the music from that game, too. Epic music.

I didn't like FFVIII as much as FFVII just because I thought Squall was too egotistical and self-centered. That and the junction system made me sad. In order to get the best stats, you couldn't use the best magic.

FFX is another of my favorites. It's a pretty sad themed game overall, though. Looking forward to the FFX HD remake!

I really don't particularly care which company wins the mobile gaming market, but I do think that you're wrong with some of the things you say (DS only getting shovelware, 3DS only getting remakes, higher prices for DS games never being justified, etc.).To answer your question, yes, I've played all of those games. In fact, I've owned an iPhone since the first one came out, have bought the new version every time Apple released one, have written and released an iPhone game of my own in the App Store, and currently own an iPhone 4 that has way over 150 games installed on it. I also own a DS and a DSi, a PSP, a Wiz, and several other handheld gaming devices. I write videogame reviews for a Swiss gaming site. So I play a lot of games, and feel that I'm capable of making a reasonably objective judgement as to the scope and quality of the titles that different platforms receive.The word real is perhaps an unfortunate choice. It doesn't really matter whether you use that word, though. What matters is the point that iOS games are less expensive than DS games, but also offer less depth, scope, and quality. There are exceptions, but I don't really think most (if any) of the games you mention qualify. Hot Pursuit, for example, is a pretty average game on the iPhone, especially when compared to Criterion's version of the game (the fact that you listed it as a positive example makes me wonder whether *you* have played the games you mention . Real Racing 2 would be a better example of a great iOS game that offers depth and scope comparable to DS or PSP titles.But titles like Real Racing 2 are pretty rare on iOS.

For all that, I think the right ingredients are there. It's merely needing the artist's touch to give it a more penetrating, disarming, human feel. I think it's doable. 2012-10-13 Tino: on some posts but still nothing it keeps gnviig me the same problem. Is the problem my controller, the tv set up (if so how do I fix this problem because I don't know how to access the HDMi setup screen on the playstation because the controller isn't responding. When I plug in the controller I notice that all 4 lights on the top flash and then light number one will be the only one lit up but then I notice it starts to flash. So maybe I'm not pairing it correctly. Is the problem that somehow the playstation got damaged in the box? I've tried it with two t.v's one with a really old one it gave me the same problem, so then I tried it with the flatscreen in the living room and it still gave me the same problem which is weird. I know I can't expect it to work on the old t.v but how would make it work on a new t.v? I guess my biggest problem is being frustrated not being able to move on from the time adjustment screen because the screens keep on going back and forth its frustrating. Should I exchange the PS3, it was a gift so I feel bad.Thanks in advance for the help.

2012-10-13 [Sigyn, The Faithful Wife]: Ummm... I don't know.. I have a PS3 too, and the only time the controller is flashing at me is when it needs to charge. I would say leave it for a couple hours until it has a good charge on it, turn the PS3 off and check all of your connections and give it another go. If that doesn't work, make try a different controller (if you have one) or maybe take it to a local Game Stop and see if they can help you diagnose what's wrong.. I would also go to PS3 specific forums while you wait for the controller to charge and see if anyone had similar problems.

But the HDMi set up should be as easy as plugging the cord into the right slot, or at least that all I have to do (I have one at my home and my dad has one, and it's the same for him).. But good luck figuring it out.

I don't play with the 3D switched on very often at all, though it is pretty impressive. It doesn't hurt your eyes or anything, but you have to keep the DS at a good angle and distance to see it properly.

Actually they're releasing a new version called the '2DS' which plays all 3DS games but it's much cheaper because (as you would guess from the name) it doesn't have a 3D mode among other things.
